All living things have cells. Cells are considered the
smallest part of living organisms. The human body has
approximately 10 trillion cells that work in an integrated
system.
Cells are usually so small that they can only be seen
through microscope. They are divided into three main
parts: the nucleus, the cytoplasm and the membrane.
Cells of the human body can be prokaryotes or
eukaryotes. Prokaryotes are those cells that do not have a
defined core surrounded by membranes. The eukaryotic cell
has a nucleus delimited by the nuclear envelope.​
