1 - FEW/A FEW e LITTLE/A LITTLE são usados para classificar pouca ou insuficiente quantidade.

Use FEW/A FEW quando quiser quantificar substantivos contáveis: 

I´ve felt a few drops of rain falling > eu senti algumas gotas de chuva caindo
I´ve got a few coins > tenho algumas moedas
Few of them survived > poucos sobreviveram

Use LITTLE, quando quantificar substantivos incontáveis:

He´s got a little money > ele tem algum (pouco) dinheiro
The cacts need little water to survive > os cactos precisam de pouca água para sobreviver

2 - MUCH, A LOT OF/LOTS OF e MANY são usados para classificar grande ou suficiente quantidade

Use MUCH para quantificar substantívos incontáveis:

We´ve put much flour in the cake > nós colocamos muita farinha no bolo (farinha é uncountable)
I didn´t get much information > não obtive muita informação (informação, em Inglês, é uncountable, ísto é, não tem plural, ao contrário do Português)
He doesn´t drink much water> ele não bebe muita água (água é uncountable)

Use MANY para os substantivos contáveis

I´ve got many friends
She hasn´t visited many countries


Use A LOT OF ou LOTS OF para contáveis e incontáveis:

He´s got lots of friends
They´ve used a lot of money.
We drink lots of water
You´ve got lots of DVDs
