More than one million infected people and health systems are collapsing worldwide. I venture to say that we had never faced a virus with such a high transmission capacity. And this is the great asset of the new coronavirus, which, despite not having a lethality considered high in the general population, has a capacity to cause systemic damage - in health, in the economy and in interpersonal relationships.

Covid-19 arrived in an overwhelming way, destroying everything around it. But at the same time, people's ability to mobilize stood out in the face of chaos. The first countries affected by the new coronavirus underestimated its capacity for destruction. And it should be noted that we are talking about extremely developed nations with surprising capacity for articulation, such as China, Korea and Japan.

When the disease arrived in Europe, the mistake was repeated. This time, however, in countries like Italy, aged and with a worn-out policy. The devastation was even more impressive. We are talking about 600 new deaths per day, more than 130 thousand people infected.

In Brazil, despite the increasing numbers of cases and deaths, we are having a chance to learn from the mistakes made in other countries. Thoroughly accompany us through scientific publications, specific studies and the press, that among all the measures adopted to confront Covid-19, social isolation is one of the most efficient methods to reduce the appearance of new cases.
