Another favorite adaptation is the one from 2005 with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen, on the roles of Elisabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, which gave Knightley a nomination for an Oscar. In this adaptation one of the main points is that the story is told from Elizabeth's perspective and some detours from the text were made, like changing the dynamics of the Bennet family. As a film is shorter than a TV series, many scenes were cut and the storyline had to be revised to adapt it to the big screen, so the movie wouldn’t be too long.
