Hi!!
Ambos são o passado do verbo to be
Vemos que no presente equivale a ser ou estar.
Ex. I am happy - eu estou feliz
I am beautiful - eu sou bonita
Porém, quando queremos dizer isto no passado usamos was e were que equivalem a estava ou era/ estavam , eram
Ex. I was happy - eu estava feliz
I was beautiful - eu era bonita
Usamos was diante de I, he, she, it
Usamos were diante de you, they, etc
Visto que : are no passado fica were
Is no passado fica was
Enjoy your studies
