Nesse caso você deve adicionar o DIDN'T as frases e alterar o verbo principal, veja como irá ficar:

a) I liked him very much. (-): I didn't like him very much.

b) She traveled alone. (-): She didn't travel alone.

c) John achieved Mary (-): John didn't achieve Mary.

d) William believed in Santa Claus: William didn't believe in Santa Claus

e) Thomas studied Spanish (-): Thomas didn't study Spanish
