Para realizar frases negativas é só colocar a partícula de negação not, eu vou colocar a forma contracta:
I wasn't running
I wasn't studying english
It wasn't flying
You weren't reading the same exercise
We weren't playing video game

so acrescentar o not depois de was e were. Exemplo:
i wasn't (was not) running.
I wasn't studying English.
it wasn't flying.
you weren't reading the same exercise.
we weren't playing video game.
