 i am(eu sou) afirmativo                      am i ( eu sou?) interrogativa
 i was(eu era, eu estava ) afirmativo   was i ( eu era , ou eu estava?)interrogativa

he,ou  she , ou it + is            ele é , ela é , isso é. (afirmativo)

is + he ou  she, ou  it               ele é? ela é? isso é?(interrogativo)

you + are ou were                 você é ou você estva.( afirmativo)
are you , were you                 você está? / você estava?( interrogativo)

they are , they were              eles estão, eles estavam( afirmativa)
are they , were they              eles estão? / eles estavam ?( interrogativa)

agora para todas as situações , quando for negar as frases usar "not"  tipo

i am not,    he is not,    she is not,   it  is not      they are not   
 they were not

se for negar na interrogativa 

am i ,   isn't he,    isn't she,    isn't it ,   aren't they,    weren't they    
 basicamente é isso .
