This week we interviewed Paola from Italy. She’s a designer.

When did you first use a computer?

I first used a computer in1986 inItaly. I bought an Amstrad computer. There was no CD player and it was very slow.

You work in an office in New York City now. What do you use at work?

I use a new PC. We have the Internet and I can communicate with people in Italy by e-mail.

Do you have the Amstrad at home now?

No, I don’t. I bought a Macintosh computer in 1999. It was very expensive, but I like it.

You have computer games, too.

Yes, I bought some last month. They were cheap. Now I can work and play on my computer. It’s great!
