1) Last Saturday, my father took my friends and me to the circus. We SAW lots of things. My father BOUGHT us some popcorn and orange juice. We ATE the popcorn and DRANK the orange juice. We LAUGHED at the funny clowns. There WAS a lion-tamer. The lions DID tricks; they JUMPED through hops. A girl RODE and elephant around the ring. We all HAD a wonderful time.

1) Os verbos no simple past ficam:

See = saw

Buy = bought

Eat = ate

Drink = drank

Laugh = laughed

Be = was

Do = did

Jump = jumped

Ride = rode

Have = had

2) Se a Jean fez, tudo que você precisa é adicionar o verbo na frase na forma de simple past. Se ela não fez tudo que você precisa adicionar é o didn’t com o verbo no presente:

Jean cleaned the house.

Jean fed the cat.

Jean didn’t telephone Mary.

Jean didn’t watch a film on TV.

Jean visited her grandparents.

Jean took them a cake.
