Many years ago, people threw away many products just because they did not know that they could be recycled. Nowadays, recycling artificial resources. For example, if we produce much litter and don’t recycle it, there will be too much litter and it might cause some health problems and diseases such as malaria, cholera, TB, etc. and air pollution. In Germany, for instance, my father told me that they use car tyres to make shoes.
Talking about my village, we use litter for many purposes. For example, tree leaves are used to make manure to grow vegetables. We use tins to makes candle lights and children use then to make toys. We fill plastics bottles with water from our river, then freeze it and sell it in the street. We don’t get a lot of money but it is enough for snacks at school. We use plastic bags to make purses and some people in my community make raincoats.
We sell used paper in the local market. The sellers use this paper to wrap peanuts, beans and other products. When we find a big quantity, we sell it to a press house for them to recycle it. This process is very important to protect the environment and to avoid diseases because when the industries recycle paper the number of trees cut to produce paper is reduced. When the industries recycle plastic, bottles and other inorganic material, the exploitation of mineral resources is also reduced.
