Passado Contínuo e Passado Simples

O passado simples nada mais é do que um tempo verbal dentro da língua inglesa que fala sobre uma ação que começou no passado e finalizou nesse mesmo passado, não precisando necessariamente ter relação com o presente da fala proferida. Já o passado contínuo são ações que ocorreram por um tempo no passado, acrescido de verbo to be e ing na estrutura.

Dentro desse tempo verbal simples, temos verbos irregulares e regulares, os regulares são normalmente acrescidos de "ED" ao final do verbo, já os irregulares não seguem um padrão, sendo assim, é necessário conhecer cada um desses verbos previamente para preencher as sentenças corretamente.
