Forma negativa do Past Tense: é feita pelo uso de did not (ou didn't) antes do verbo principal. Basicamente, a frase ficará assim:
sujeito + did not (didn't) + verbo na forma básica + resto da frase

a) They tried one more time last years.
They did not try one more time last years.

b) I stayed at home last night.
I did not stay at home last night.

c) We carried our books yesterday.
We did not carry our books yesterday.

d) She loved you in the past.
She did not love you in the past.

e) I changed my clothes yesterday.
I did not change my clothes yesterday.

f) He called her last night.
He did not called her last night.

g) They visited me last sunday.
They did not visite me last sunday.

h) She cooked very well.
She did not cook very well.

i) You played yesterday.
You did not play yesterday.

j) They helped their parents.
They did not help their parents.

OBS: Quando for transformar a frase no past tense, o verbo volta para sua forma básica. Exemplo: se o verbo é 'visited', ele volta para sua forma básica 'visite'.
