verbos modais, assim como o verbo "to be" e o verbo "to have" nos tempos perfeitos (have + verbo no particípio) agem como verbos auxiliares, portanto formam negativas e interrogativas sozinho.

em outras palavras, você só precisa adicionar "not" com o modal de cada frase pra botar negativa, e para botar na interrogativa é só colocar o modal atrás do sujeito da frase

a- can  you add sugar to your coffee?

b- you can't add sugar to your coffee

2-they must work from eight to five

b- they mustn't work from eight to five
