A)

Yes they are. And that is kind of a big surprise.

I will give some examples.

“O Boticário: launched a campaign called “ Orgulho” ( Pride)

And part of sales is to be given to local ONGs

“Casa Florescer” from São Paulo and “Grupo de Dignidade”, from Curitiba.

Both are taking care of LGBTI which are so vulnerable and exposed to

social violence.

Other big companies like:

Carrefour

Basf

P&G ( Procter and Gamble )

IBM

Whirlpool

And these are big multinational ones.

And they help in so many ways.

Even among their employers there are people that are LGBT .

That gives hope to lot of people like them to which the jobs’ market is, so

many times, a closed door.

Another example was when the supermarkets “ Extra” on their 30th

aniversary had in a media advertise where together with the Fabiana Karla

there was a translator in a the right corner of the scene, translating into

Brasilien Signs Language.

So people who are deaf can understand what is being said and so they feel

to have an inclusive treatmant.

B)

Yes I have.

I already payed some attention to the LGBT peopple, but now I pay more

attention to what concerns them.

I was surprised to see that so many big companies are treating so well

these people.

That is surprising because those companies used to be so conservative.

May be because they see them as consumers, too.

So helping them will make them to be happy to buy these company

products.

It is a win win situation

C)

Well when we are seeing so much advertises that are using most of time

stereotypes that is so wrong because the world we are living is not only

made of those stereotypes.

For instance , to have here in Brasil an advertise  showing only people in it

that is somehow like stting :

“ we don´t care about the other consumers; only the White people count”

But in Brasil there is 67% of people not being white ones.

And some companies are changing their strategy because they need to

reach the others consumers, besides the White people.

They feel the need to be more inclusive in their daily business.

So by doing this there will be less people feeling to be put aside in society.

Everybody is importante and should count.

Of course I am not speaking of criminals.

D)

I am a student. That is the group I belong to.

But I am also somebody with a cell phone.

Here in Brasil we are more than 70% people using a cell phone everyday.

So I am in contact with so many advertisements.

And they are made to persuade young teenagers to buy things or to see

different kinds of music, or games.

We could be better represented if big companies and other important ones

will pay attention that most of us  students have a lot of money difficulties.

One thing that will help us is by supporting scholarships in a significant

number.

That would be nice.

Study well.
