My driving experience
In the USA, you can get a driver's license when you turn 16 years old. So, last month I talked to my
parents about it and they told me that if I were responsible, I could get my license and drive their
car. I was very excited. My school is a little far from my house, it takes me almost an hour to get there
by bus. However, if I go by car, it will take me about thirty minutes. Great, right? So I downloaded the
manual from the DMV website. I had to study the traffic rules and then take a test. I knew that if I
passed. I would get a learner's permit, and guess what? Yesterday, I took the test and I passed! I got
the permission to drive, but I can't drive alone. An adult with a license has to go with me. So, today it's
my first experience driving. My mom is with me and she is teaching me many things. She said I should
drive carefully and I have to pay attention to the traffic signs. I'll practice with her and my dad. Then,
I'll take a driving test on the road and if I pass, I can get my driver's license. I can't wait!
