2. Read and write.
Are you aware?
Society consumes more natural resources than the
planet's capacity to replace what we consume. In 50
years' time, there won't be enough water, energy, and
food due to the lack of a conscious consumption of
goods. While technology has focused on developing
renewable sources, it has also worked on the stimulation
of consumerism. We must understand that if we don't
change our consumption behavior, humanity will become
extinct. The best way to change this is by making people
aware of how and what we consume. But how exactly?

Consumerism is a branch of Capitalism, some experts say that is the most effective creation of human minds, since it is basically a myth invented in order to support capitalistic ideas thus since the Industrial Revolution people are more and more deeply connected to this ideology, where frugality is thoroughly unaccepted and rejected by most of people and being spendthrift is promoted as you are really living your life! thus this created a wide range of problems that humanity is facing right now such as climate change and completely pollution of rivers and oceans, is expected that in fifty years we will have more plastic in the oceans of earth than fish ( total mass measurement ) which is preposterous to us to accept live in a world full of litter that came from this insane consumerism, a great part of this pollution are products that people buy without having any utility in their lives people buy things nowadays just for having this accumulative mentality where more is better, therefore in order to change this ideology we have to develop an even bigger one! and there are currently some ideas of how to change people's relationship with consumerism a well-developed one is the idea of minimalism where people instead of hap-hazarding our houses full of new items such as thousands of furniture and new home appliances we turn our house into a cleaner one! with only the necessary such as a television and one sofa so on and so forth, studies have shown that just by changing your own house into a minimalistic house the effects of this letting go of consumerism became flourishing throughout peoples lives, thinking more of what is necessary to buy and what is futility so on and so forth, so i think that we need to start consuming less and thinking more about the future not only in the immediately results of our actions that gives us instant however rapid happiness and thing in the long term happiness and satisfaction to ourselves and to the world we are letting to our children and grand-children!
