As formas negativa e interrogativa do verbo to be no Past Simple das frases são:

A= I was good.

N= I wasn't good

I= Was I good?

 

A= You were there.

N= You weren't there.

I = Were you there?

A= He was a doctor.

N= He wasn't a doctor.

I = Was he a doctor?

Para entender as frases, devemos descobrir mais sobre o Past Simple do verbo to be

Como fazer o Past Simple do verbo to be?

  • Na afirmativa, utiliza-se "was" para as pessoas I, he, she e it, e "were" para as pessoas you, we e they.
  • Na negativa, utiliza-se "wasn't" para as pessoas I, he, she e it, e "weren't" para as pessoas you, we e they.
  • Na interrogativa, o verbo deve estar no início da questão.

Assim, na negativa deve-se utilizar  "wasn't" e "weren't" e na interrogativa deve-se colocar o verbo no início.
