I worked for six months in Peru. I arrived in the capital city. Lima, with no job
and very little money. I decided to look for a job in places popular with
tourists. I soon found a job in a big hotel in a resort out of town. I worked as a
waiter. I didn't eam much money, but the hotel gave me a room and free
food. I had a great time. It was the best experience of my life ... so far!
A friend and I went to London last summer. We found that « accommodation
was really expensive, so we had to get a job fast! We are both experienced bar
stail, so we got work in a pub. We lived above the pub with the owners. They
were very friendly and they even showed us around the city. I studied abroad
before, but I discovered that by working abroad, you learn a lot more!
