1. What happens to Robinson Crusoe?
Soluções para a tarefa
Robinson Crusoe, novel writtenby the Englishman Daniel Defoe, was published in 1719. In this work, the protagonist is the only survivor of a shipwreck, which must face the forces of nature and his solitude, if he wants to survive in a desert island.
As it is a story of an individual and not of a superhuman hero, another difficulty imposes on the character: solitude, making Crusoe question the determination of the “Heaven” in punishing him ("I sometimes asked myself, why did Providence ruin its creatures in this way, casting them into the most absolute misery, abandoned, desperate?”). Robinson Crusoe fears for his life, feel helpless and powerless in the face of the task that he has to face. In the end, however, the strength of his determination prevails.
