A long way to travel
Alex and his mother were talking on the beach one day after a storm.
“Look”, Alex said. He pointed to a piece of round, blue glass almost covered with sand. They dug around it and found a round, glass ball. It was bigger than a softball, but smaller than a soccer ball.
“What is it?” Alex asked.
“It’s a fisherman’s float,” his mother said. “I haven’t seen one in years. Japanese fishermen once use them to keep their nets from sinking.”
“Then this came all the way from Japan?” Alex asked. “Wow! It’s traveled more than I have.”
