⇒⇒  Simple past

Yesterday morning I got up at 7 and I had a shower at 7.10. Then I had a glass of orange juice and some toast for breakfast. At 7.30 I went to school. After school I did my homework and studied English in my bedroom. Later I played football with my friends until dinner time. After dinner I saw my favourite film Finding Nemo. I went to bed at 10 p.m. It was a great day.

Exemplos:

I went to school by bus. >> Eu fui à escola de ônibus.

They had a shower last night. >> Eles tomaram banho ontem à noite.

Alguns verbos irregulares

to be ⇔ was / were

to can ⇔ could

to buy ⇔ bought

to teach ⇔ taught
