x²+12x+36=16
x²+12x+36-16=0
x²+12x+20=0

∆= b²-4ac
∆= 12²-4x1x20
∆= 144-80
∆=64

x= -b±√∆ / 2a
x= -12±√64 /2x1
x'= -12-8/2
x'= -20/2
x'= -10
x"= -12+8/2
x"= -4/2
x"= -2

x² + 12x + 36 = 16

x² + 12x + 36 - 16 = 0

x² + 12x + 20 = 0

a = 1

b = 12

c = 20

Δ = b² - 4 . a . c

Δ = 12² - 4 . 1 . 20

Δ = 144 - 80

Δ = 64

 \mathtt{\dfrac{-b+-~\sqrt{\Delta}}{2~.~a}~~=~~\dfrac{-12+-~\sqrt{64}}{2~.~1}~~=~~\dfrac{-12+-8}{2}} \\ \\ \\ \mathtt{x' =\dfrac{-12+8}{2}~~=~~-\dfrac{4}{2}~~=~~-2} \\ \\ \\ \mathtt{x'' =\dfrac{-12-8}{2}~~=~~´-\dfrac{20}{2}~~=~~-10}
