Resposta:

The verb to be corresponds in Portuguese to the verbs "to be" or "to be". It is used to describe and identify people and objects; and in the expressions of time, place and age. Look at the examples:

My son will be a doctor. (My son will be a doctor.)

I think I will go to the gym today. (I think I’m going to the gym today.)

Probably they are going to the party. (They will probably go to the party.)

Maybe we are going to the movies! (Maybe we will go to the cinema!)

Thus, we see that both going to and will serve to refer to the future, however, as we will see below, in different situations. We will see here the will combined with the verb to be, which is more used in informal situations; and used when we decide, in the moment that we speak, something that we will do in the future and that is not so sure to happen.
