It is known that this was the mother of Maria de Nazaré, wife of St. Joachim and Grandmother of Jesus. It is also known that she would have had one or two daughters after the birth of the Virgin Mary, for God had freed after Joachim had stayed in the desert for 40 days. The names of these daughters are: Mary Salome and Mary of Cleopas.   THE PARISH In 1948 the young priest Campione Favorino Carlos Marrone was destined to render his services as parish priest in the small town of Rocinha. This was the beginning of a beautiful story: with the population and economic growth of the District, emancipation began to be considered, because the inhabitants of the place felt troubled by the neglect of the government of Jundiaí and understood that they could "walk with their own legs ". On October 24 of the same year the movement paid off and the priest was one of the most important motivators of the process. The priest himself revealed that the meetings took place in the sacristy of the old church with the chief leaders of Rocinha. On April 2, 1949, the city elected its first mayor, Dr. Abrahão Aun, and under the blessing of Favorino, the city was called Vinhedo, due to the great production of grapes and wines, which gave the city the title of "grape land" later. In the same year, the priest began the most important work in the city - the construction of the new Mother Church. The work ended only in 1959, mobilizing almost all the approximately 7,000 inhabitants of the city, who contributed from the donation of the land to the construction of the roof. The earliest accounts are that at that time the priest and his friend were considered insane for designing a church of such great proportions, with no pillar of support for the central nave and fairly modern architecture.
