What really matters to me is not the cases (although I do admit finding each one intrinsically fascinating), but the lessons to be drawn from them. I consider the thesis that conceptual resources are continuous throughout the life span. I debate the nature of concepts and intuitive theories, and also how to distinguish between conceptual change and belief revision and I show how these controversies bear on the relations between language and thought.

ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS

1) 'What really matters to me' : fused relative or open interrogative content clause? Evidence.

2) there are 2 declarative content clauses. One is licensed by a noun and the other by a preposition (in the extended sense of SIEG). Find those clauses and heads (noun, preposition) that license them.

3) there is an open interrogative content clauses (which is FINITE, remember!) other than 'what really matters to me' (which MAY or MAY NOT be an interrogative content clause as you know from exercise #1). It is
licensed by a verb. Find that clause and the verb that licenses it.
