Some American tourists were spending a few days in Rio. Some of them understood Spanish, but very few were missing Portuguese. George, a young native language student at Columbia University, prided himself on his knowledge of Portuguese and decided to go to the restaurant alone.
It was George's first visit to Brazil and he was eager to practice his Portuguese with the "Cariocas". It was almost lunch time George was hungry.
