As respostas estão acima. Da forma que seu professor fez é a forma correta. Quando temos uma frase afirmativa no passado, o verbo muda. Quando a frase é negativa ou interrogativa, usamos o auxiliar did ou didn't e o verbo volta a forma do infinitivo. Bons estudos.
