Omara Portuondo is a Cuban singer, and one of the most popular jazz singers in the world. She has sung at clubs and cabarets for over 50 years and was on a Buena Vista Social Club album. With 73 years old she was one of the star singers at the famous Tropicana Club in Havana, Cuba. Although she doesn't sing there anymore, Omara is still active. Nowadays, with 90 years old, she is recording a new album (Vida Omara Portuondo) along with international artists and continue to work in the music industry.
Dodo (Dorothy) Cheney was a famous tennis champion. She has played tennis for more than 70 years. She was a member of the victorious U.S. Wightman Cup teams from 1937 through 1939. Cheney was a three-time runner-up in Grand Slam women's doubles tournaments: 1938 Australian National Championships, 1940 U.S. National Championships, and 1941 U.S. National Championships. She has played in tournaments for people over 75 and she has won over 390 matches. She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2004. She won her last tournament in May 2012 in doubles — when she was 95. Dorothy has passed away with 98 years old in November 23rd 2014.
Carmen Dell’Orefice is a 90 years old model and actress. She has been a model since she was 13. Her career started more than 70 years ago, when a photographer saw her at a bus station and asked her to take her photo. She joined the Ford Modelling Agency in 1953, but retired from modeling after her second marriage in 1959. Carmen had problems with funds, and returned to modeling in 1978. In 1984 she appeared on the cover of Quarante and more recently she is featured regularly in the advertising campaigns appearing in Vogue. On July 19, 2011 she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of the Arts in London, in recognition of her contribution to the fashion industry. She is known within the fashion industry for being the world's oldest working model as of the Spring/Summer 2012 season. In 2015, Carmen collaborated with David Gandy and Isabeli Fontana in the promotion for the reopening of the department store Palacio de Hierro Polanco, in Mexico and still on the covers of L'Oficciel and Marie Clair magazines.
