Mr. Harry Jackson, a 60-year-old engineer from New Jersey, wasn't feeling well last afternoon, so he
decided to go home earlier. When Mr. Jackson was waiting for the subway, he had a heart attack and tell
on the tracks. Four teenager boys were standing nearby and saw when Mr. Jackson fell. One of the boys,
Mike Jones, jumped on the tracks to help Mr. Jackson while his friends were calling 911
Our reporter Peter Williams talked to Mike soon after the accident:
Peter: Hello, Mike! Can you tell me what were you doing when Mr. Jackson fell on the subway tracks?
Mike: Well, my friends and I were talking while we were waiting for the subway.
Peter: And what was Mr. Jackson doing?
Mike: I don't know. I wasn't paying attention to him. Someone screamed and when I turned to look,
he was falling on the tracks.
Peter: What happened after this?
Mike: My friends were dialing 911 when I heard a subway train. I jumped Earlier Nearby
and pushed Mr. Jackson. Soon the ambulance and the police arrived.
