Manacá is a very famous tree in Brazil because it is a very beautiful tree that always blooms in
the summer and produces both white and purple flowers and is native to the Atlantic Forest.
The name manacá comes from the Tupi language and means 'flowers'. The painting called
'Manacá (1927), a famous work of art in Brazilian Modernism, was painted by the artist Tarsila
do Amaral.
