Superlative Adjectives:

Usamos o Superlativo (Superlative) para dizer que algo ou alguém é o maior ou o melhor (ou
o pior) da sua espécie.
Example: The Manhattan is the most expensive restaurant in the New York.
(O Manhattan é o restaurante mais caro em Nova Iorque.)

Regras:

 De modo geral, com adjetivos curtos (uma sílaba), acrescentamos “est” ao adjetivo:

old: the oldest

 Para adjetivos curtos, terminados em y, você deve substituir o y por i e acrescentar “est”:

happy: the happiest
 Caso o adjetivo termine em e, basta acrescebtar “st”:
nice: the nicest

 Se o adjetivo terminar em consoante / vogal / consoante (CVC), dobre a última letra e
acrescente “est”:

fat: the fattest

 Com os adjetivos longos (mais de uma sílaba), utilizamos o quantificador “most”:

beautiful: the most beautiful

 Obs: Caso você queira falar menos, ao invés de mais, deve usar “least”.

Good: the best
Bad: the worst
Far: the farthest
Little: the least
