Read the sentences in activities 1 and 4 again and complete the spelling
rules for verbs in the 3 person singular in the Simple Present.
a) We add
to most verbs.
love/she loves - you fight/he -they show/it.
b) We add to verbs ending in oss, sh, ch, x.

c) We change-y to when the verb ends in consonant + y.
you study/he studies - we try/she
d) But when the verb ends in vowel + -y we simply add
I play/he plays - you enjoy/she
e) And the 3rd person singular of the verb is has.
