O uso da voz ativa no inglês é caracterizado pelo foco em quem performa a ação da qual se fala; já a voz passiva, pelo foco no objeto que sofre a ação e pelo uso da partícula auxiliar "by".

Active to passive

Adicionamos o auxiliar "by", que equivale ao "por" na língua portuguesa, indicando que a ação é performada por alguém.

Verbos no simple present

  • Podemos notar que ao passar uma frase que está na voz ativa no Simple Present para a voz passiva, o verbo fica na sua forma no passado;
  • O contrário ocorre quando se passa da voz passiva para a ativa.
