5x+6y = 8

9x-6y = -36

14x = -28
x = -28/14
x = -2

5x+6y = 8
6y = 8-5x
y = (8-5x)/6
y = (8-5(-2))/6
y = (8+10)/6
y = 18/6
y = 3
