b) 6( x + 1) – 2(5 – 2x) = 4x – x + 3

6x + 6 - 10 + 4x = 4x - x + 3 \\ 10x - 4 = 3x + 3 \\ 10x - 4 - x - 3 = 0 \\ 9x - 7 = 0 \\ 9x = 7 \\  \\ x =  \frac{7}{9}

c) 2( x + 3) = 4( x – 1)

2x + 6 = 4x - 4 \\ 2x + 6 - 4x  + 4 = 0 \\  - 2x + 10 = 0 \\  - 2x  =  - 10 \times \times ( - 1) \\ 2x = 10 \div (2) \\ x = 5
