Consideremos a seguinte desigualdade:

$\mathbf{1 < x < 3}$.

Se $\mathrm{x \in \mathbb{Z}}$, então não é difícil notar que $\mathrm{2}$ é a solução (única). Ou seja,

Condição I: 1 < x

$\\ \mathsf{1 < x} \\ \mathsf{- x < - 1} \\ \mathsf{x > 1}$


Condição II: x < 3

Não há o que fazer, x é menor que 3.


 De modo análogo, resolvemos a tarefa proposta, veja:

Condição I: x - 5 < 1 - x.

$\\ \mathsf{x - 5 < 1 - x} \\ \mathsf{x + x < 1 + 5} \\ \mathsf{2x < 6} \\ \boxed{\mathsf{x < 3}}$

Condição II: 1 - x < 6.
