My mom was 40 last Saturday so my dad organized a special birthday party for her. He invited all her friends and family. There were about eighty people there. Our house is very small, so we had the party in a large room at the local sports center. It was great!

A band called Rock On played the music. There are five members in the band. There were two singers, one man played the guitar, another played the bass, and a boy played the drums. They aren’t a famous band, and they don’t have an album, but they were awesome. They performed a lot of songs from the 1980s, when my mom and dad were at school.

My mom danced and chatted to people all night. At the end, she told us it was a fantastic party.
