Renewable and non renewable energy are vital for human functioning. Renewable energy is energy from natural resources that is unlimited and replenished . Renewable energy is all around us. Some of the sources of renewable energy are sunlight , wind , water etc.

Non renewable energy is energy derived from sources that are limited and does not replenish naturally.  Non renewable energy sources include petroleum , gas , coal etc. They have to be conserved effectively.

Difference between renewable and non renewable energy.

  • Renewable energy is unlimited and non renewable energy is limited.
  • Renewable energy cannot diminish with consumption , it can be reused over and over again. Non renewable energy can diminish with consumption.
  • Renewable energy is replaced by naturally in short time whereas non renewable energy is only limited and it can take very long periods to restore.
  • Renewable energy is environment friendly . Non renewable energy can cause pollution.

Both energies are vital for humans on daily basis. They are important for their own functions and they must be taken care of so future generations can also benefit.
