Qual a diferença de uso going to x will. De exemplo de cada uma em inglês

Ambos "going to" é "Will" são usados para referir-se ao futuro. A diferença é que "will" é usado para algo que você não tem certeza, ou que acabou de decidir. Um "futuro incerto"
Ex: I think I will go to the mall later, I have nothing to do at home.
My friend has just invited me to go to the movies, I think I will go.
Por outro lado, going to é usado para algo que já está decidido, algo que é certo de acontecer.
Ex: I am going to work today. But, I am going to travel to the beach on the weekend =D

There are no differences when both are used to refer to the future. Examples:

I) She is going to travel tomorrow = She will travel tomorrow;

II) Are you going to visit your parents? = Will you visit your parents?
