  INT: Was I a modern man?

Explicação:

Para formar as frases negativas, adicionamos "not" em seguida do verbo to be (was/were). Já na interrogativa, invertemos o verbo auxiliar com o sujeito e adicionamos um ponto de interrogação ao final da frase.
