Brazilian cuisine is really rich and tasty. Each one of the Brazilian states has typical dishes, prepared according to their traditions.
The food’s meaning goes beyond the simple act of eating. There are many traditions inside.
We can talk about many of them.
In Rio Grande do Sul nothing is more traditional than the churrasco. Arroz de carreteiro and pork salami should also be mentioned. The chimarrão made with erva-mate is a trademark of the gaúcho.
In Paraná, barreado is very common. Barreado is a mixture of meats, prepared in a clay pot and accompanied by mandioca flour and banana.
The tutu-de-feijão, feijoada, sausage, pork and fish with pirão are found in several states. In Espírito Santo there is moqueca capixaba, prepared in a clay pot with various types of fish and seafood.
