In my opinion, plastic surgeries are unnecessary for most people. I mean, those who are found of getting butchered are usually not the ones who need to undergo any sort of cosmetic procedures – those people are merely suffering from body dimorphism. What they really need is psychiatric treatment so that they deal with their body image appropriately; see themselves for whom they really are. But that is not to say that all people have a psychiatric condition; some people actually need procedures to fix severe limbs/skin damage from accidents, or malformations. However, those people usually cannot afford medical procedures, thus end up having to live with their undesired bodies forever.
