With great territorial extension and climatic variation, Brazil is home to several types of vegetation, especially the Caatinga, Campos, Cerrado, Amazon Rainforest, Mangues, Atlantic Forest, Araucária Forest, Mata de Cocais and Pantanal.
Caatinga: occupying an area of approximately 800 thousand square kilometers, the Caatinga is the only exclusively Brazilian biome. It is typical of semi-arid regions, and can be found in the states of Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Sergipe, Alagoas, Bahia, Piauí and Minas Gerais. The vegetation is marked by xerophilous plants, adapted to the dry climate and the low availability of water. The fauna is represented by reptiles, rodents, blue macaw, white wing, agouti, etc.

The vegetation of Brazil involves the set of plant formations distributed throughout the Brazilian territory. Brazil has different types of vegetation. The main ones are: the Amazon rainforest in the north, the coconut forest in the mid-north, the Atlantic forest from the northeast to the south, the Araucaria forest (pine forest) in the south, the caatinga in the northeast, the cerrado in the center , the wetlands in the southwest, the fields in the southern extreme with sparse spots in some states of the country and the coastal vegetation from Amapá to Rio Grande do Sul.
