A construção do Past Continuous (passado contínuo) é dado segundo a forma: Sujeito + verbo “to be” no passado (was/were) + verbo com “ing” + complemento. Como, no caso, pede frases negativas, então a forma será: Sujeito + verbo “to be” no passado (was/were) + not + verbo com “ing” + complemento. Também pode usar as contrações de was not e were not os quais são, respectivamente, wasn't e weren't, isto é optativo.

Frases:
We weren't working a lot yesterday night.
She was not studying when I called her.
I wasn't buying chocolate in Ky's market.
Sam wasn't traveling last month.
Joe and Gina weren't together last weekend.
