Pablo Picasso was a great Spanish artist. He made over 20.000 sculptures and paintings in
his life.
He was born in Malaga in 1881, and start to started to paint when he was ten . When he
was fifteen, he studied at the Barcelona School of Fine Arts. From 1904 he lived and
worked in Paris. Guernica was his most famous painting. He painted it in 1937 and finished
it two months. He didn't want the painting to be in Spain so it was in a gallery in New York
for many years. You can see it now in the Prado Museum, in Madrid. For most of his life
he didn't live in Spain. He lived in France and died there in 1973.
