I was drinking only soda. I was watching TV and sleeping late every night. I was trying to study but it was difficult. My friends were helping, so I was understanding and learning. I was wanting to pass in the tests.

(Só uma side note, fica estranho se a última frase também for passada pro past continuous, então seria melhor deixar ela no presente mesmo "I want to pass in the tests", mas se a tarefa pedir pra passar tudo então passa. Outra coisa é que o "in" dá última frase pode ser removido, fica até meio estranho se deixar, mas eu não sei se você poderia mudar?)
