podcast : Hello! Welcome to our Culture podcast.
On this podcast we are going to learn more about a deep-rooted American tradition, the Prom.
A prom is a dance party that takes place at the end of the school year. It is usually meant for high school juniors and seniors, who are in the eleventh or the twelfth grade.
The word prom comes from the French word promenade, that means to walk without hurry or in a relaxed way. At the beginning of the party couples usually enter the ballroom walking elegantly, as if they were in a parade.
As it is a formal dance, girls usually wear gowns and boys wear tuxedos. According to the tradition, girls also wear a corsage, a small bouquet of flowers, around their wrist or pinned to their dress.
Some prom attendees rent limousines in order to transport groups of friends to the prom venue, a gymnasium or a hotel, for example.
Prom committees generally choose a theme for the decorations, such as a movie or even a song.
One of the most expected moments in a prom is the announcement of the prom king and queen, which are usually the school’s most popular boy and girl, respectively. Their names are chosen through an election held before the party.
Even after the prom ends, the party is not over yet. Schools or parents often hold after-parties in order to avoid reckless behavior, such as drinking and driving. These after-prom parties may take place at a private home and sometimes are called post-prom or after prom lock in.

As letras (E) e (D) me parecem as alternativas corretas.
Explicação (D): no início do 4° parágrafo temos: 'As it is a formal dance, girl usually wear gowns and boys wear tuxedos.'.
Quanto a afirmação 'Gymnasium and hotel are places' , o ginásio e o hotel, de fato, são lugares.
Espero ter ajudado :)
