Os pronomes possessivo adjetivo (possessive adjective) está ligado a um substantivo.

Ex:
This is my seat.
This is your bag.
This is his car.
This is her mobile phone.
London is famous for its parks.
This is our place.
This is their house.


Já os pronomes possessivos (possessive pronouns) substituem um substantivo ja dito antes, e indicam posse.

ex
It's mine.
It's yours.
It's his.
It's hers.
It's its.
It's ours.
