Dear mom and dad,
How are you doing?
Last weekend, I was in São Paulo with some friends and I had the chance to get to know some great restaurants.
I tried foods from different Brazilian regions. On Saturday, I tried
different dishes. One of them
was some special black beans they call feijoada. It's really strong, but we eat it with
rice and
slices of orange, and that makes it perfect. I had
açaí juice, too, but not
Açalis a
typical fruit in Brazil.
On Sunday, I tried
special fish they call moqueca. I loved it, but I didn't have
of it,
because it was strong. Although we have
fish in England, we don't have
dishes
similar to moqueca. I loved it!
People say São Paulo has the best pizza in the world, but I didn't eat
pizza when I was there.
There were so many things to do that I didn't have time to go to a pizza place. Maybe next time.
Next week, I'm going to Bahia. I think I'm going to eat
more moqueca there!
I'll keep you posted.
Miss you,
Roland
